Well it has been a while since we have last had a chance to speak. There have been a few things happening since our 1st birthday and it is only now that i am getting chance to keep you informed. We have seen a steady increase in the popularity of our burgers and Scouse thanks to Liverpool.com magazine. There have been articles in several industry magazines but above all the Burning Kitchen@ the Ship & Mitre was one of three recommend places to eat in the official MTV European music awards brochure.
Time to stop the bragging and get down to the real work. Firstly i would like to announce our loyalty scheme. No business can survive without loyal customers and at the Burning Kitchen we have some of the very best. As a small thank you for your custom we have decided to implement a loyalty scheme, more news on this soon.
We have asked many of our customers for feedback on the food they were being served. We realise that most of the comments were positive with the odd disgruntled customer thrown in to keep us on our toes. After lots of careful consideration we felt that it was difficult for people to be honest due to embarrassment. To solve this problem we will be developing a review section on this site which will be better for the customer as they can be honest (worse for us as they can be honest).
From February there will be a new menu. There will a separate burger menu with four new burgers to be added to the list. There will be a more extensive fish section and vegetarian section added to some of the now established dishes.
Finally and saving the most exciting news until last, Burning Kitchen is proud to announce a new delivery service. Over the next week you will see our sandwich/ salad menu appear on this site and in the Ship & Mitre as a paper copy for you to pick up and peruse at your leisure. We promise to maintain the same principles in our sandwiches as we do with our pub menu.
That is to use quality, fresh Ingredients and put them together in combinations that complement each other just right. There will be several ways in which you can order, email, text or pen and paper directly to the pub. At the moment we will be offering a cold selection until we can find a way to deliver hot food without any loss of quality. Any comments or enquiries will gladly be accepted.
